Dynamic specializes exclusively in the manufacture of wood windows and doors. As such, we sometimes confront the perception that our business is the antithesis of environmental stewardship. However, the opposite is true. Environmental stewardship is a core value in both our materials and manufacturing process.
A forest, properly managed, is eternal, and for every tree harvested, another can be grown. At Dynamic we strive to ensure we use wood from responsibly managed forests, where logging practices conform to established principles of reforestation.
Occasionally it is pointed out that while reforestation is good, trees still have be to cut down. While this is true, it is important to note other types of window building materials that are used in the industry. Aluminum and vinyl involve open pit mining, the permanent disfigurement of the landscape and massive consumption of fossil fuels to produce the raw materials, along with the associated chemical pollution required to process these materials. Considered in full, the use of wood is clearly the least destructive, and is the only material that is renewable and biodegradable. Dynamic also offers a way to avoid using any newly cut timber by searching the continent and purchasing rare reclaimed timber.
We have no hesitation in claiming that wood windows and doors are the most environmentally friendly option available.
